Welcome to Crafty by Nature of Columbus, Ohio!
We are a studio creating natural skincare, lotions, and especially hand thrown pottery and ceramics.
There are two areas of our studio for our 2 creativities:
1. Handmade Pottery
Our pottery is handmade on the potter's wheel by our two resident potters, Karen and Nick. We specialize in pottery requests and we do our best to make custom work affordable. Please ask us about our rewarding pottery classes and lessons, taught by Karen.
2. Natural Skincare
Our natural skincare features skin nourishing creams, lovely lotions, and luscious lip balms to name a few. Our skincare is all handmade in-house and all natural.

Crafty by Nature's Story
Crafty by Nature started up in early 2010 after a handmade holiday gift went over exceptionally well. Karen Buoncristiano and Nick Singer had made their own recipe of a gardener's hand salve to go along with their garden-themed gifts which were placed in decorative plant pots and filled with gardening goodies. It took about 3 tries and failures before finding the right blend for their new hand salve recipe. Once the recipe came out right, they made many salves for all of the people on their holiday list. Soon after the holidays, people began requesting "more of that wonderful hand salve" for themselves and their friends. Today, Karen and Nick use the same exact recipe that they originally developed when they make Working Hands Skin Repair. "These lotions really come in handy after a long day of making pottery with the clay drying out our hands," says Nick. And that was just the beginning!
