Skin Repair is truly all natural. The most important ingredient that makes this cream heal your skin so intensely is comfrey. Comfrey is an amazing plant that heals your skin a little faster than your skin will heal itself on its own.
Skin Repair contains: shea butter, olive oil, comfrey root and leaf, almond oil, beeswax, lavender essential oil (and love)
Non-GMO, petroleum-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, and 100% natural.
What makes Skin Repair work so well for healing and soothing the skin? The healing plant named comfrey has very strong healing properties behind this concentrated cream.
Comfrey – Comfrey is an herb containing allantoin, a cell proliferant that speeds up the natural replacement of body cells. It is a natural anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, and emollient. It promotes rapid wound healing. Comfrey herb is a “powerhouse” skin healer.
This formula is very effective and a little goes a long way. It is a thick, heavy lotion so we suggest wearing it at night for optimal results. Some people wear it during the day but just use a little bit. At night, you may choose to use more.
These are the primary ingredients we use in our soaps:
Olive Oil: Made from the pressing of olives, olive oil is known for its skin care properties such as soothing irritated skin, nourishing damaged skin, and moisturizing dry or dehydrated skin. Olive oil contains four antioxidants which allow it to work as a cleanser, moisturizer, and protector of skin.
Coconut Oil: Pressed from the pulp of the coconut, coconut oil adds a good bit of lather and strong moisturizing properties. It is also noted for its anti-aging properties, skin softening ability, and skin repair.
Cocoa Butter: Using its antioxidants, it helps with reducing the signs of aging. Because of its nutrient and fatty acid content, cocoa butter is amazing for dry skin and can actually penetrate further than the top layer of the skin, meaning it moisturizes deep-down and truly nourishes.
Food Grade Lye: When the soapmaking process is finalized, there is absolutely zero lye left in the soap. When lye combines with various oils, the “saponification” or soap making process occurs, leaving behind only the soap. We add in extra shea and aloe butters to provide the resulting soap with extra moisture for your skin.
Shea Butter: Extracted from the nut of the African Karite (shea) tree, shea butter is considered a superfood for the skin as it is high in Vitamin A, which is key for improving skin conditions such as eczema and dermatitis.
Castor Seed Oil: Expressed from the castor bean, castor seed oil acts as a humectant (attracts and holds moisture to the skin) for a soft, moisturized complexion.
All of these statements are not evaluated by the FDA. But the FDA doesn’t regulate “awesome”!
